Reporting Notice Only Claims

We encourage retail agents to advise their clients to report Notice Only Claims as soon as they occur. This is extremely important when:

  • The police arrive at the site of the incident
  • An ambulance or EMS show up to an incident
  • If an injured claimant states that they are okay and no need to make a report
  • Other similar situations similar to the above, or with questionable facts/statements

It is also encouraged to provide as much information as possible regarding Notice Only Claims, in the case that they do become a claim. This information will be hard to obtain as time passes. Such information includes:

  • Detailed record of incident
  • Scene photos if incident involves an injury, if available
  • Witness information/statements
  • Contact information of parties involved
