Reporting Notice Only Claims
We encourage retail agents to advise their clients to report Notice Only Claims as soon as they occur. This is extremely important when:
- The police arrive at the site of the incident
- An ambulance or EMS show up to an incident
- If an injured claimant states that they are okay and no need to make a report
- Other similar situations similar to the above, or with questionable facts/statements
It is also encouraged to provide as much information as possible regarding Notice Only Claims, in the case that they do become a claim. This information will be hard to obtain as time passes. Such information includes:
- Detailed record of incident
- Scene photos if incident involves an injury, if available
- Witness information/statements
- Contact information of parties involved
